Description
It must’ve been a dream, then, she reasons, but she hasn’t had a dream in years, and when the boy shows up at her house for breakfast, she’s not so sure what’s real anymore.
He denies having seen any wolves himself, but it’s obvious something isn’t right. An unseasonable mist descends every evening, and when her brother goes missing, a strange truth comes to light.
Hidden labyrinths have cropped up all over the island, teeming with phantoms like the wolves from before, and the power to seal them rests in something familiar: the traditional shell beads she’s crafted since childhood.
Can she use them to seal the labyrinths in time, though? Or, as phantoms increase and the mist grows thicker, will everything she knows fade forever to white?
